Kairen looked back at the path he had walked. The faint glow left by his footsteps seemed to serve as proof of his choices. He took a deep breath. There was no turning back now.

If he had chosen the Forest of Blue Mist, he would still be battling illusions, struggling to distinguish truth from falsehood while confronting his past. In that place, losing focus even for a moment would mean losing his way entirely.

On the other hand, had he taken the Ominous Gorge, he would have had to fight relentlessly for survival against the encroaching darkness. On the burning ground, he would need to overcome fear in order to move forward. It wasn’t just about growing stronger—it was about understanding how to wield that strength.

Regardless of which path he had taken, Kairen had surpassed a mere trial. He was redefining himself.
